HOW IT WORKS
Washed sand classifier it is a machine used for washing and separating the sand from water. The mixture of water and sand is fed into the settling cone. Here, by gravity and helped by the concentric flow, sand and other sedimentable organic substances deposits on the bottom of the machine.
The sands deposited pass, through a perforated surface, into the washing area where, through a stream of clean water, the sands are washed and the organic substances deposited on them are removed.
The washed sand will then be transported to the unloading area by the transport screw. The organic substances, removed from the sand by washing, due to their lower specific weight will return to the surface where they will overflow from the circular profile along with the decanted water. Finally, for the separation of organic residues a further weir is provided that will allow the overflow of the clarified water and will retain the organic residues.
HOW IT IS BUILT
Bearing structure in cold bent-pressed plate in AISI 304.
The settling cone is complete of mechanic mixer and scrapers in the bottom moreover in the upper part is welded a peripheral canal and just before the outlet of clarified water is provided a wire for the retention of organic residues.
On the bottom of the cone it is flanged the washing area which is composed by two perforated surfaces with different holes.
Finally is present the washed sand accumulation area which is welded on the transport trough. Trough is made in AISI 304 stainless steel and is equipped with wear flat bars are easily replaceable.
Transport screw is in carbon steel FE 510 with paint. It is made by flat bar of big thickness suitably shaped. Gearmotors directly coupled one to the screw and the other to the mixer.
